Growing Your Own

Dill in my aunt's garden.

I saw some interesting posts around the web today on growing your own food and herbs.

The Washington Post featured an article on growing your own herbs. Now’s the perfect time to get them in the ground or in containers!

FoodDeclaration.org sent out a how-to guide for composting. I need to start doing this now — I’m not going to plant an elaborate garden this year, but hope to put in a raised bed next year. If I start composting now, I’ll have good material to start with a year from now.

New to composting and wondering what’s good and bad to compost? The EPA can help you out.
