With an ample crop of basil out back and the purchase of heirloom tomatoes and a baguette at the farmer’s market this morning, I set my sights on making a caprese sandwich for dinner tonight. But I was denied fresh mozzarella at the cheese shop today! They’re so helpful at Piazza Italian Market though. The ladies there helped me select a creamy, Brie-like goat cheese for my sandwich instead.
Armed with that and a few slices of prosciutto di parma, I got to satisfy my craving for caprese!
