The Haul (Not Really): Tailgatin’ Edition

So, I didn’t make it to the markets yesterday. First of all, it was cold and rainy (and eventually, snowy). Not that that deterred me from being outside. I had tailgatin’ plans.

I met up with college friends at the University of Maryland at noon and we set up our tailgate. I brought the aforementioned cheese-and-sausage balls and kettle corn from the Easton Amish market. My beverages of choice were Franziskaner Weissbier and Magic Hat #9.

The friends I tailgate with have it down to a science. They scouted out a parking garage corner with a wall and outlet so we were protected from the wind and had the ability to plug in a hot plate. Genius. Here’s what they brought:

Old Bay (my fave) and Buffalo wings from Ledo Pizza
Hawaiian and meat lover’s pizzas, also from Ledo Pizza
Spicy crackers
Pumpkin cupcakes (so good!)

There was a variety of other beers on offer — I got to try a Belgian brown ale homebrew and Thai-spiced ale homebrew (really interesting — with star anise, vanilla and ginger). I even got a couple of bottles of the Belgian brown to take home with me. I love my friends!

Unfortunately, the Terps didn’t do so well — Boston College brought Boston weather with them and they knew how to play in it. Still, I had a really fun time.
