Reindeer Balls!

My friend Thomas recently posted the list of different types of cookies he’ll be making for Christmas. I had already resolved to make the Peanut Blossoms, but I was absolutely inspired by this recipe for “Reindeer Balls.” Below are photos from my go at the recipe. I am not including photos of the Oreos and cream cheese as you should already know what they look like.

Melted chocolate (you probably already know what this looks like, but there are never enough photos of melted chocolate).

Dipped Reindeer Balls waiting for the fridge.

I ran out of melted chocolate for the last few and so dusted them with cocoa powder instead. This variation needs a name...

Finished Reindeer Balls, after a drizzle of melted white chocolate.

I used regular ol’ chocolate chips to cover the balls, which probably wasn’t the optimal choice — it didn’t coat them very smoothly. Ah well. They taste absolutely divine. They are so incredibly rich!
