Maple-Rum Salmon

Yes, it’s as good as it sounds.

No elaborate recipe. I poured a couple sips of rum into the dregs of a jar of maple syrup (real maple syrup, mind you) and then poured that mixture over the salmon fillets (which had already been sprinkled with salt and pepper). I broiled them for about 12 minutes and served with roasted kale (which cooked quickly in the already hot oven).
